The pilot training of the Romanian participants in the ICARUS courses has ended

"The pilot training for cooks, bakers and waiters in the professonal culinary sector in Romania was completed. The aim was to actually learn the specifics of preparing typical Bulgarian cuisine dishes, baked products and serving methods. The training of cooks and bakers was held in the newly created study kitchen in the building of Varna University of Management and in the restaurant to it.

Until December 13 will continue the training in Constanta for the Bulgarian paricipnats. Within 4 days, the participants get acquainted with the specifics of preparing typical Romanian dishes, bakery products and serving techniques.

The training is a joint initiative of Association "Dobrudja Agrarian and Business School" and "Choose Your Profession" Association - Vocational Training Center - Constanta.

The purpose of the pilot training is to test the possibility of exchanging professional staff in the culinary sector in the cross-border region of Constanta - Dobrich in the direction of achieving sustainable labor mobility.

The training is carried out within the framework of the project „Integrated Culinary Arts and Restaurant Sector Employment Solutions for a Skilled and Inclusive Romania-Bulgaria Cross Border Region" (ICARUS), RoBg-192. The project is implemented under the INTERREG V-A program Romania - Bulgaria, Priority Axis 4: Skilled and inclusive region. The main objective of the project is to facilitate labor mobility in the restaurant / culinary business through common skills building and support services in the Cross-border region.
