First Expert Workshop for peer revision of the research and development activities was held in Constanta

On Monday, 11th of January 2018 the first Expert Workshop for peer revision of the research and development activities was held at the premises of the Romanian partner in the ICARUS project "Choose Your Profession" - Vocational Training Center (ATP) in Constanta, Romania. The main topic of the workshop was the development of the intellectual outputs in the framework of Activity 2 - Research and analysis of the training and employment support needs of potential employees and employers in the culinary and restaurant sector in the Romania-Bulgaria cross border region – professional skills.

The workshop involved 16 people, including the experts responsible for the development of the outputs, the Training and Research Quality Coordinators from Bulgaria and Romania and Project Management Team’s members.

The meeting was focused on the first key research and expert developments under the project, namely:

  1. The two Assesment reports:
  • Assessment Report I on how the VET offer meets the skill needs of business and what are the immediate improvement measures and
  • Assessment Report II of the state of involvement of VET-institutions in bridging education and work in the whole CB area
  • Good practices compendium - from EU and beyond with positive examples of how VET-institutions design their training offers so they are better addressing the skill needs of business.
  • Regional Action Plan for encouraging sustainable job creation and Work-Based Learning in the culinary and restaurant sectors in the RO-BG CB region

During the work sessions, concept notes for the outputs development were presented and discussed, the structure, scope and content of each document were discussed, and key points important for the subsequent consolidation of the outputs and the expert conclusions were outlined.
