They identify urgent measures for the development of tourism and culture in Ruse and the region. This happened during a meeting between Borislav Bulgarinov and Deputy Minister of Tourism Irena Georgieva. Among the ideas that should be implemented in the short term are the creation of a Council for Innovative Solutions in the sectors of tourism, culture and creative industries. The aim of such a platform is to unite the opinions of both proven experts in the field and young people with ideas for the development of the region. It is also planned to shoot a promo video about the history, architecture and culture of the region, as well as conduct a massive information campaign to present little-known destinations in Ruse, as the smallest settlement - Pepelina. Registers for non-motorized tourism will be created, which will present in the most attractive way bicycle routes, eco-trails and opportunities for generational tourism. The possibility of establishing a tourist cluster is also being considered, as well as a Joint Working Group to make a list of priority tourist routes in need of restoration. Not far behind is the idea of organizing conferences with the scientific community on the issues raised, as well as a concert bureau with the prospect of becoming a center for cultural exchange and social hub. All this is expected to happen in the context of the eventual announcement of 2022 as the year of tourism in the Euroregion Ruse - Giurgiu.
According to Bulgarinov, some of the measures are achievable by the end of the year, but most will be implemented next year. Measures are also being considered in the long term, and will become clear by the end of December.
"Global tourism has established itself as a vital sector affecting the stability of the economy. The main advantages of tourism are the creation of income and jobs. For many regions and countries, it is the main source of wealth. This is the case for the region of Ruse and the region.
Ruse region has tourist potential for the development of classic and alternative forms of tourism. Increasing the visibility of the destination will contribute to attracting investor interest and expanding the range of investment opportunities, "Bulgarinov told Deputy Minister Georgieva.
