Europe Direct office opened in Dobrich

On June 3, 2021, a Europe Direct office was opened in the town of Dobrich. It is located in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is one of the 13 in the country to be opened this year with a validity period until 2025. 80 organizations and institutions have applied for the right to run such an office, said Boyko Blagoev from the EC Representation in Bulgaria. The Europe Direct network has 424 centers throughout the European Union.
Their aim is to ensure direct and easy access for citizens and organizations to information about the EU and its policies; to organize debates and events for active civic participation with an increased focus on students and young people; to provide feedback on the needs of the regions in our country to the institutions of Europe and to communicate with other EU networks and offices. It will be monitored whether the citizens actively take advantage of the opportunities, and not only activity will be reported, Blagoev was categorical.

The Europe Direct office will be able to ask questions about work or education in another EU country; community rules on quality of life; the rights of citizens in different situations; opportunities for financing organizations; for online shopping, etc. Information about the activity will be available on stands in the Regional Library, community centers in the region, the Green Center in Shabla and others. places. The office will be presented at business exhibitions and local events. There will be active communication with the Youth Center and schools, joint events and initiatives will be held to promote civic education, which has recently become a subject.
The opening of Europe Direct in Dobrich was also attended by the Chairman of the Board of DABU - Assoc. Prof. Todor Radev, Teodor Stoychev from the Bureau of the European Parliament in Bulgaria, the Mayor of Dobrich Yordan Yordanov, the Regional Governor Vasil Karapanchev, the CCI team, many partners .
