Any young person who needs support and wants to develop can get involved in measures under the Human Resources Development Program (2021-2027). This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Natalia Efremova during the National Youth Conference "Project for the Future", organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports as a closing event within the European Year of Youth.

In the "Youth Employment" priority of the Program, measures are foreseen for training, acquiring skills, internships and developing the talents of young people in order to find the most suitable professional realization for them through inclusion in the "Youth Employment +" operations, "Starting a job ", "Digital skills", "New skills", "Youth initiative ALMA" and the digital skills training project under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan.

"In every municipality there is a Labor Bureau where young people can receive consultations, be oriented to training or to an employer," emphasized Deputy Minister Efremova. The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP) also undertakes specific activities for young people looking for their first job, including psychological support. In 2022, a register and cooperation mechanism between institutions was created, which helps to identify economically inactive persons.

To date, nearly 60,000 young people have been included in measures financed under the Operational Program "Human Resources Development" (2014-2020), according to the data of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The activities were related to the acquisition of new knowledge and skills, trainings and internships. Opportunities have been created for the inclusion of young people in employment through the support of employers.

At the forum, Deputy Minister Efremova presented the national campaign #First Job of PRHR and "Work hard!" of the Employment Agency. She also announced the first event of the "Time to Update" campaign, which will be part of the European Year of Skills. It will be held in the form of an Online Cafe on March 23. It will be attended by representatives of national and regional youth organizations, Student Councils and Career Centers at universities in Bulgaria.
