All planned job fairs in Bulgaria are cancelled

By the end of March, the holding of the planned labor exchange fairs in the country is canceled. With regard to the epidemic situation in Bulgaria and measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Employment Agency restricts the organization and conducting of group forms for the provision of intermediary and specialized services to job seekers and employers, the institution said. The employment bureaus will also discontinue the group forms for career guidance, career counseling and motivation of the unemployed through the Job Search Atelier. Outsourced services in remote settlements and areas through mobile labor offices, mobile workplaces, and receptions at the Employment and Social Assistance Centers will be provided on an updated daily and hourly schedule, providing for small groups of people. In particular, flexible working hours will be introduced for the employment offices in the territory of Gabrovo and Pleven, where cases of the COVID-19 virus are already established, with a view to protecting the employees of the Employment Agency and their clients. 
The Employment Agency also informs the training providers that according to Order No. РД-01-117 of 08.03.2020 the Minister of Health all training sessions in training institutions and organizations providing training for the unemployed or employed under contracts with the Employment Agency should be temporarily suspended by a change of the training schedule agreed with the Labor Office on the territory of Gabrovo and Pleven districts. For the trainings that will take place in the other districts, the Employment Agency also recommends that the classes are postponed until the end of March or until further instructions. In addition, all health authority prescriptions and COVID-19 prevention measures should be taken into account.
