The project „Integrated Culinary Arts and Restaurant Sector Employment Solutions for a Skilled and Inclusive Romania-Bulgaria Cross Border Region"(ICARUS), implemented by Association" Dobrudja Agrarian and Business School "(DABS) was completed. The project is a joint initiative with association "Choose your profession "- Vocational Training Center - Constanta, Romania Implemented under the INTERREG VA Romania - Bulgaria Program, Priority Axis 4: Skilled and Inclusive Region, Program Specific Objective 4.1 - to promote integration of the cross-border region in terms of employment and labor mobility.
The main objective of the project is to facilitate labor mobility in the restaurant / culinary business through common skills building and support services in the Cross-border region.

MAIN ACTIVITIES IN THE PROJECT:
Research and analysis of support needs for training and employment of potential employees and employers in the culinary and restaurant sector in the cross-border region Romania - Bulgaria - professional skills.
Research and analysis of training and mobile support needs of potential employees and employers in the culinary and restaurant sectors in the Romania-Bulgaria cross-border region - soft skills.
Development of an integrated scheme to support training and employment mobility in the Romania-Bulgaria cross-border area.
Institutionalization of the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Center to support labor mobility in the culinary and restaurant business.
Pilot implementation of the integrated scheme to support mobility in the field of training and employment in the Romania-Bulgaria cross-border area - solid skills.
Pilot implementation of integrated training and support for training and employment mobility in the cross-border region Romania - Bulgaria - assessment of soft skills and readiness for labor mobility.
Capacity building for VET providers in the cross-border region with a view to promoting cross-border labor mobility.

4 integrated curricula relevant to the cross-border area and existing ways of validating professional skills for 4 professions - cook, bartender / waiter, restaurateur and baker / confectioner;
Soft skills assessment model with 4 situational tests; curricula for mobile employment and support for cross-border mobility based on 5 courses of 8 academic hours each - labor and civil rights, cultural awareness, historical and culinary traditions in the cross-border region, profile and connection with the client, digital skills for job seekers, presentation the skills of job seekers;
Cross-border center - Dobrich with a section for vocational training and consultation for the labor market in the cross-border region, opportunities for labor mobility and validation of knowledge, skills and competences - Demonstration room and Training kitchen;
Short guide manuals with a focus on employment mobility in the Cross-border region - rights and regulations, how to find work and training in the cross-border region.
Trainings and events:
Pilot vocational training courses and skills for 3 professions - cook, waiter / bartender, baker / confectioner - 51 participants from Bulgaria;
Soft Skills Assessment and Training to Prepare for Workforce labor mobility - 4 groups of 106 participants from Bulgaria;
Cross-border Labor fair for the culinary and restaurant business CAREER EXPO in Dobrich - 90 participants from Bulgaria and 10 from Romania;
Workshop on capacity building and training workshop meeting with Romanian and Bulgarian culinary professors, representatives from educational institutions - 24 participants from Bulgaria and 16 participants from Romania;
Press conferences to start and end the project.
